History

In 1983, Louis and Diane Desrochers founded Suncoast Welding.
In 1990, they became L&D Steel Inc. along with the hire of Wayne Wells. Later becoming L&D Steel of Florida in 2006.
After years of the company’s success, L&D Steel became AISC Certified in 2015.
In October 2017, the company was sold to a group led by two actual steel fabricators, Charles Carre and Simon Harnois joining forces with Pat Dunn to become L&D Steel USA Inc.
In September 2018, L&D Steel USA received its AISC certification.
In 2023 with the departure of Charles Carre, Simon Harnois became the majority shareholder and also became President & CEO of L&D Steel USA Inc

Social

It is important for us to be good community leaders and get involved in different charitable events. We are supporters of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County and are members of The Copperheads, the volunteer organization that annually hosts the PGA tour event in Tampa Bay.

Fabrication Facility

Located off of Belcher Rd. South in Largo, FL, we office and fabricate out of a centrally located 19,000 sq.ft. building with easy access to US Highway 19 and I-275.
